DDC Foods Ltd would like to reassure you that we are monitoring the situation daily via the government website and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention – www.cdc.gov) and that all necessary communication has been made through our HR department to DDC Staff.
All the products that we supply are pre-packed and come from a third-party accredited supplier which means that they have tight procedures in place regarding staff sickness and back to work procedures. They have also tightened their procedures in light of the pandemic and know how to recognise the first signs of the virus.
Within the workplace we have carried out a thorough risk assessment and have implemented new personal hygiene procedures and facilities, provided relevant staff with the necessary PPE (including face masks and hand sanitizers), made staff aware of the need to self-isolate if they have symptoms or if they come into contact with someone else that shows signs of having the virus, redesigned offices to ensure that desks are more than two metres apart and also added floor markings in the warehouse and corridors to comply with the two metre social distancing guidelines.
We also took the preliminary step to get in touch with our suppliers that we know source some of their raw materials directly from China and they have assured us that nothing has been imported since the outbreak started. As a precautionary measure, all new stock arriving at our warehouse will be quarantined for 72 hours before being despatched to our customers.
We highly recommend that you follow any recommendations and updates given by the UK government on this subject as they offer a clear overview of the current situation as well as advice on how to deal with the virus if you see someone manifesting typical symptoms.
